One thing about the Cross, it lacks storage space. The center console is tiny and the single glove box doesn’t have a lot of usable space. The side pockets in the doors are small and again, like the console, not the most accessible space ever invented.

So little things like this are a gift. We bought this and have been delighted with it since it arrived. It literally slips over the screen in seconds. No tools needed. It stays in place just like it should. It adds some convenient storage trays behind the screen in an area otherwise empty.
Now, downsides. It’s made of ABS plastic in a matte finish so it doesn’t match all the other plastic perfectly. My wife and I do not care because it’s mostly being the screen. The only other downside is that these trays are in the sun. I would be mindful of what you store in there because if you get a lot of sun, it will get hot. I’ve seen no impact from the sun on the organizer itself and we’ve already been through the hottest part of the summer.
For us, the downsides are small and easily ignored and we enjoy having a little more storage in a convenient location. We recommend this organizer.
