I suppose if you want to do everything, literally, everything, possible to maximize profit in your namesake business scenes like the ones below are understandable albeit disgusting.
At a recent NASCAR event in Japan, Toyota’s Chairman, Akio Toyoda, showed up wearing a MAGA hat and a trump/vance t-shirt. It’s not unreasonable to assume that, given Toyoda’s position, no one compelled him to do this. He probably made this call on his own. I get that we all have different political opinions and this might appeal to some people. From my POV, it’s all downside. But I felt that way about Toyota’s move from California to Texas. So there it is. The Chairman of Toyota stooging for what will surely turn out to be one of the most corrupt and dangerous administrations in American history. All for what? To sell some trucks in red country?
