I admit, as a long time Prius owner, MPG matters to me. So from time to time, I’ll the results here.
Since the installation of the roof rack (post coming soon), I’ve had this feeling that the MPG has taken a hit. No surprise. I expected it.
Today we did a 160 mile round trip. It was mostly freeway but also some state highway and city roads. Dead flat driving, no elevation change worth noting. Finish average was 33.4. For the really detailed oriented, I did reset the mileage at the mid point. MPG on the way there was 34.5. This probably represents a 10% decrease in MPG.
