When it gets hot here in Bakersfield our first thought is, Pismo Beach.
And it gets hot in the valley.
There is a very conveniently located Motel 6 in Pismo and the Ocean Dunes State Park is literally two turns and few miles away. We can drive onto the beach, have a little fire and watch the sun go down. It’s a darn nice day/evening.
This is our local escape and it works very well for us.
