Morro Bay is beautiful. Morro Rock is amazing. The drive is mostly boring crossing the San Joaquin Valley. About the only surprise is you cross the location where James Dean was killed.

It’s a nice drive through the Nine Sisters and then a short drop into a Morro Bay.
It’s a classic central California coastal community. It’s small and charming. Morro Rock is very cool.
We love Morro Bay. It’s an easy drive from Bakersfield. The cooler, California coast town is a big and welcome change from the central valley’s heat.
